Butyl Rubber Gaskets

Butyl Rubber Gaskets
Butyl rubber gaskets are precision cut from a synthetic blend of isobutylene and a small proportion of isoprene. This material is notably less porous than many other gasket types, making it ideal for sealing applications involving gases and compressed air where impermeability is critical. Its excellent thermal stability and resistance to ageing, UV exposure, and weathering also make it well suited for outdoor use. Please note, butyl rubber is not compatible with petrol or oils.
Our butyl rubber gaskets typically feature a smooth plate finish on both faces. They are available in a variety of standard flange, dovetail, and picture frame styles. For detailed advice on measuring gaskets accurately, please consult our 'How to Measure a Gasket' guide.
