Sigma® 500 is a biaxially oriented PTFE gasket material reinforced with hollow glass fibres, engineered for sealing applications that require minimal bolt load. Its non-stick surface makes it especially effective on fragile, worn, or uneven flanges. This versatile material is resistant to a broad spectrum of chemicals with pH values ranging from 0 to 14, except for molten alkali metals, fluorine gas, and hydrogen fluoride.
Certified for use with potable water under WRAS standards and compliant with FDA and EC regulations for food contact.
AMG Sealing offers precision cutting services to create standard flange gasket sets, custom-shaped gaskets, or picture frame gaskets to your exact specifications. For guidance on gasket sizing, please consult our How to Measure a Gasket resource. A comprehensive comparison between Novus™ and Sigma® gasket materials can be found here.
For alternative gasket materials, AMG Sealing supplies GYLON® 3504 and Klinger® Top-Chem 2003 products. Sigma® 500 sheets are available through AMG Sealing as a trusted supplier.
