Quad rings provide a reliable sealing option where conventional O-rings may fail under high pressure conditions. Their unique four-lobed cross-section delivers twice the sealing surface area of standard O-rings, enabling effective sealing with less compression. This reduces friction and enhances the durability of the seal. The Quad ring’s profile also improves stability within the gland, preventing spiral twisting and offering superior resistance to pulsating pressures that can cause extrusion in traditional O-rings.
AMG Sealing holds stock of Quad rings in all standard BS/AS sizes, supplied in nitrile and Viton®, with a limited selection available in EPDM. We also offer standard quad ring cord sections in nitrile, ideal for bespoke gasket fabrication and specialised sealing needs.
