Polyethylene Foam Gaskets

Nitrile Rubber Gaskets - Blue Food Quality

Polyethylene foam gaskets are offered in a wide selection of grades, densities, and colours. AMG Sealing supplies cross-linked polyethylene foam as standard and stocks a variety of branded options, including Plastazote® and Evazote®.

This foam material is an excellent choice for gaskets due to its low compression set and outstanding flexibility. It resists weathering, moisture, oils, and chemicals effectively, while also providing superior thermal insulation. Certain grades, such as Plastazote® LD white (all densities) and Plastazote® LD45 pink, meet FDA food-contact standards and are free from chemical additives.

Standards

Plastazote LD white (all densities) and LD45 pink conform to US FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 for rubber articles intended for repeated food contact.
Additional Plastazote® grades comply with Article 2 of the EEC Directive 90/128/EEC on plastic materials intended for food contact, as verified by global migration testing after 10 days at 40°C in a food simulant: LD24 white, LD33 LC white, LD45 white, and LD45 yellow.
